Will LEDs Encourage Adoption of Low-Voltage DC Lines/Fixtures?

Dan Jacobs at Optek Technoloyg says making LEDs meet customer expect expectations is critical to the technology being adopted widely.  That, he says, requires creating form-factors specifically designed for LED bulbs.

Since solar power and batteries use low-voltage DC and LEDs require low-voltage DC, I wonder whether parallel electric infrastructure with high voltlage AC and low-voltage DC will be adopted for home and office environments.

Yes, solar, batteries and LEDs use DC. And, don’t all electronic devices including computers, video, TV, audio, etc? What uses AC except transformers to step down voltages from main power lines? AC is unhealthy, with everyone literally living in antenna cages of AC+harmonics and non-linear transients. Let’s move away from AC.
